By accessing True Fake News you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.

1. Satire notice

All content is fiction, parody and satire protected as opinion and commentary. No article, quote, statistic, image or audio segment should be understood as a statement of fact about any real person, company or event. Names of public figures are used for parody only.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the site and 18 or older to hold a staff account. You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not use the site for unlawful purposes or to harass, threaten or defame anyone.
• Do not attempt to breach security, scrape at scale, or disrupt the service.
• Do not republish our content as though it were factual news.
• Do not upload malware, illegal material, or content you have no right to share.

4. Intellectual property

The True Fake News name, logo, design and published content are owned by us or our licensors and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Short quotations with attribution and a link are welcome. Third-party trademarks referenced in satire remain the property of their owners and their use here is nominative and non-endorsing.

5. User and staff content

If you submit content through the CMS, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it on the site, and you confirm you have the rights to do so. We may edit, unpublish or delete any submission at our discretion.

6. Copyright complaints

Send takedown notices to legal@truefakenews.lovable.app with the work concerned, the URL, your contact details and a statement of good-faith belief. We remove infringing material promptly and honour counter-notices.

7. Third-party links and media

The site may link to or embed external audio, images and websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content or their privacy practices.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Nothing here is legal, medical, financial or political advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, or any reliance placed on satirical content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months, which for most readers is nothing.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the site or content you submit.

11. Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these terms and will post the revised version here. Continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and mandatory consumer protections in your country still apply.
