True Fake News is a satire and parody publication. Everything we publish — articles, headlines, quotes, statistics, expert sources, podcasts and photographs — is fictional and created for comedic and commentary purposes. Nothing on this site is a factual report of real events.

What we do

We write comedy in the shape of news. Our desks — Politics, Culture, Elon Update and Satire — exaggerate current events to make a joke or a point. If a story sounds absurd, that is the intent. We also produce satirical audio shows including Breaking Fake News, Happily Married and Woke of the Week.

How to tell our work apart from real news

• Every page on this site is labelled satire in the footer.
• Named public figures are used as parody; the words we put in their mouths are invented.
• Our images are illustrations, mockups or AI-generated — not documentary photographs.
• We never present ourselves as a source of verified fact. Please do not cite us as one.

Editorial standards for a fake newsroom

Satire is not a licence to harm. We do not publish content intended to defame a private individual, incite violence, harass a protected group, or spread medical, financial or electoral instructions that a reader could mistake for real guidance. If we get that balance wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove the piece.

Corrections, takedowns and rights

If you are the subject of a piece, believe your copyright has been used without permission, or think something crossed a line, contact us at hello@truefakenews.lovable.app. We review every request and respond as quickly as a fictional newsroom can.

Advertising and sponsorship

Any paid or sponsored placement is clearly marked. We do not accept payment to disguise promotion as editorial satire.
